The Jefferson at Memorial in Houston, Texas capitalizes on its views of and location to downtown Houston. The facility is in a part of a revitalized area of Houston that is seeing a renaissance in high density living. During the schematic phase, it was determined that the basement parking could be more efficient if the front yard setback was relaxed and reduced to align with the existing adjacent buildings. AD worked to with a local zoning consultant and successfully moved the front yard setback to allow for a double loaded garage podium. The building resolved itself into a two story parking podium with five stores of luxury apartments above. The pool is located above the leasing office podium and is surrounded an aqua lounge, clubhouse and exercise areas.
